Quincy Jones: If you travel a lot you see a pattern because the verbal and nonverbal communication is all staring to blend into one. You know, I mean, if you go to Shanghai man, you can’t tell what city you’re in. And it’s the same in Monte Carlo, it’s the same in Cairo, it’s the same in Abu Dhabi. The same. They got on Adidas and Nike shoes on now. They got two iPhones. Everybody’s got them.

I guess this all boils down to people having a technical and an emotional desire to communicate, and they now have more ways to communicate, with each other.  Here’s what I’m doing, what are you doing? That’s what the revolutions in the Middle East are coming from. It’s like hop on, hop on the boat, we’re both going the same place, you know, there are different ways, there are different goals and so forth, but it’s like hop on let’s do it together.
